If you like Splice (either the ice-cream or the cocktail) you will love this smoothie! It’s a really refreshing, tropical summery smoothie that is also packed full of goodness (unlike either the ice-cream or the cocktail…)
You will also notice that I use stainless steel straws, in an effort to minimise wastage from disposable plastic straws. I bought mine online here. I also have glass straws that I bought online here.
Ingredients:
Makes 2 servings
- ½ cup coconut milk (I’ve also previously used almond milk)
- ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt (I used a full tub of vanilla soy yoghurt, which was a bit more than 1/2 cup)
- 1 medium banana (I used mine frozen and unpeeled)
- 1 cup chopped pineapple
- ¼ cup shredded coconut
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup ice
- 3 tsp coconut nectar, agave nectar, rice malt syrup or other sweetener
- 1½ tbsp lime juice
Method:
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender, and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
