What can I say – I love cooking! And eating, luckily 🙂
Since I chose to stop eating meat, and later all animal products, I obviously had to radically change my diet to make sure I was getting everything I need, from a nutritional point of view. I had no choice but to be adventurous and to try new foods – and it’s been such fun! I now regularly cook a lot of foods that some people have never even heard of (thankfully my husband likes it all too, or it could get a bit awkward having to cook two meals…)
I love to share my food and recipes, and I had photos plastered all over Facebook of my meals before I devoured them. I started to get friends request recipes for the photos I posted, and then not only did I have photos all over the place, but notes as well. I figured I may as well consolidate all the recipes in one place, so here you go – Cruelty Free Recipes: Cooking with a Conscience!
All of the recipes on my blog are cruelty free – that means they don’t contain any animal products at all, including meat, chicken, fish, dairy, cheese or eggs. If you want to know more about why these foods are not on my plate, see the Cruelty Free Links page. Or, why not just give them a go and see how easy it is to cook compassionately 🙂
These recipes are not my own, but are ones that I have tried, loved, and hope you will too. Generally, if someone says to me “Holy cow you really *must* send me the recipe for this!”, it will end up here 🙂
If you try any of these recipes, I’d love for you to leave a comment and let me know what you thought.
I credit all sources, and the photos are all of the food I have prepared myself (not stock photos), unless of course I mention otherwise (because sometimes I forget to take photos).
So, happy cooking!
