I didn’t even know you could make brown sugar. I mean, I knew it was a type of sugar and all, but I didn’t know it had to be made. I thought it just was. Now I know better, you can stop laughing. This recipe is a great trick, as now you won’t have to buy two different kinds of sugar – just buy raw, and turn it into brown as you need it, in just a few minutes. Easy as! And, I think it tastes better than the bought stuff – although homemade anything usually tastes better than bought anything.
- 1 cup raw sugar (you could also use white sugar, but I haven’t tried that)
- 1½ tbs molasses
- Combine raw sugar and molasses.
- That’s it!
Tip: I used my Vitamix dry jug to combine, you could also use a food processor, or even just hand-mix if you like.
